My philosophy and the midwifery model of care is a holistic, evidence-based approach that prioritizes personalized, respectful support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. It emphasizes informed choice, continuity of care, and trust—empowering individuals to take an active role in their health and birth experience. By honoring the natural process of childbirth, it promotes the well-being of both parent and baby.

A little about me ❊

Hi, I’m Xenna, and I am currently accepting new clients! My path into midwifery began in 2019 when I started working as a doula. My eyes had been opened to the disparities faced by brown and black folks in the birth space, and I felt drawn to be a part of welcoming all parents and babies into a space of sacred importance. Working with so many unique families, lit a fire in my to support folks as they reclaim birth as a normal, intuitive, physiological process. From the very beginning, I felt deeply called to support families through the profound journey of birth. At some point a strong tug towards midwifery started to draw me to a deeper sense of responsibility & courage. I went on to train for over two years at the Austin Area Birthing Center, where I was held and grew under the guidance of many experienced midwives and mentors who helped shape my own approach to care. I have supported over 200 families as they welcomed their little ones, eventually going on to be licensed & credentialed by the state of Texas and the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) in 2025.

In addition to midwifery, I also teach prenatal and postpartum Pilates. I completed Mat training through Balanced Body at Austin’s, Align East, and just Iove supporting people as they connect with their bodies in a mindful, supportive way throughout the childbearing year.

In my home life, I am a mother to two fur babies; a Tortie cat, Sabine & a black cat called Pico De Gato. I am a wife, an art lover, an admirer of architecture, I couldn’t live without music (it keeps me sane), and I love to hit my local Townlake Y.

Through gentle encouragement and compassionate collaboration, we will build the trust necessary to cultivate an environment of love and respect to nurture self, family and community. I appreciate the opportunity to be part of your quest in such a meaningful way. Thank you for trusting me to walk alongside you. ❊

Postpartum & Newborn Care

Interested in Prenatal or Postpartum Pilates

Pilates during pregnancy helps improve posture, reduce back pain, strengthen core muscles, improve balance, and support the pelvic floor—all important as your body changes. A regular Pilates practice can help make labor and recovery smoother. Our Pilates will focus on gentle, controlled movements to keep you active and in tune with your body.

As a Balanced Body trained Pilates instructor (mat), I’ll guide you to find your natural rhythm and stay aligned with your growing body & baby. And then regain your core stability, mobility and strength, postpartum. Plus, sessions can be anywhere—your home, the park—I come to you!
